PSAT/SAT Test Prep Classes

The 2019 SAT/PSAT prep course will review the significant skills and concepts covered on the various sections of the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and the SAT.  Additionally, students will review the testing format and practice methods to maximize their results.  Since the organization and scoring of these tests are quite unique, familiarization with the test can greatly influence students’ performance on the individual sections.  The class will also offer testing opportunities and homework for participants.

*** The combination of SAT/PSAT and ACT scores is a significant factor for selection into

highly-competitive colleges/programs and a primary determinant of financial awards.***

Class Attributes

  • Teaching is student-focused and presented in an energetic and engaging manner. Ultimately, the classroom environment and rigorous review of concepts are the keys to the significant progress students make in the course. (Please read the Testimonials from my website)

  • Classes are active learning environments in which students are encouraged to ask questions, participate in discussions, and solve problems.

  • Students are encouraged to register with friends/teammates to increase motivation and allow for group studying options.

  • *Classes meet on Sundays to avoid weeknight conflicts.

  • The schedule and content of the course are carefully designed for maximum performance. The prep classes lead directly up to the test date; this minimizes retention issues that occur when a prep class is taken well in advance of the PSAT.
